Interior decorators are responsible for researching, purchasing and supervising all phases of the design process.

Q: How much does it cost to hire an interior decorator?

A: All interior decorators use different billing methods. At Just Call Amy, interior decorators are retained on an hourly basis. Hourly charges are dependant upon the specific requirements of each project.  For paint color consultations, I charge a flat fee.

Q: What should I do before consulting an interior decorator?

A: Before consulting an interior decorator you should do as much research as possible. Collect pictures of rooms or spaces that reflect your style. These pictures will help steer your interior decorator in the right direction – remember pictures are worth a thousand words. Don’t forget to draw up a preliminary budget. A budget will help communicate your financial goals to your decorator.
